Covid-19 – the cancellation of trade fairs – how do we as Liebherr still manage to present our new products and highlights of the year?
Thomas Weber – Head of Marketing at Liebherr-Verzahntechnik GmbH in Kempten – approached us once again with this question.
Liebherr’s motivation was to introduce the new machines via the familiar faces of the company and to offer informative presentations – for business partners and new customers from Europe, Asia and the USA.
We then created a virtual trade fair. All customers and business partners were informed by Liebherr about the digital event and were able to register to take part in the 3-day event and optionally register directly for presentations. It was also possible to book an appointment with a direct contact person from the sales department.
Upon entering the trade fair, visitors were greeted at reception by a member of staff from Kempten and could then choose between attending the presentations or entering the showroom – the so-called Tech Arena. The Tech Arena is the heart of the virtual trade fair. This is where the new machines and highlights of the year are presented by the responsible employees. You can also start a chat with an employee from the back office or make an appointment at short notice with the relevant contact person. In addition to the presentation videos, further information is available for each machine.
Liebherr’s success with the Performance Days we created speaks for itself – 3 major virtual events for China, America and Europe with more than 600 participants were held in the virtual trade fair with the Tech Arena. In addition, content such as videos and information can be added and updated at any time, meaning that this application can also be used as a simple medium for product presentation in addition to the trade fair.
